Claire

Claire Gish

Claire is a Masters level Registered and Licensed Dietitian (RD/LD), as well as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Supervisor (CEDS-S). Claire is an expert in the treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating, and negative relationships with food and body. Claire is also looking forward to assisting clients with other nutritional related concerns. Claire utilizes a caring, direct approach to help individuals in their healing journey with food and their body.

Claire believes in an “all foods fit” model, and is a Health at Every Size®(HAES) aligned dietitian. It is important for Claire to understand her client’s history with food and their body, and to then help mend and heal that relationship through different exposures, applying new skill sets, and relearning how nutrition and the body work. This will allow them to enjoy their food, body, and life.

Claire received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degree in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics at Oklahoma State University. Claire has worked at all levels of eating disorder care; acute, residential, partial, and out-patient. Claire worked at a nationally recognized eating disorder program for 9 years, and served as the Manager of Nutrition Therapy for that program overseeing all of the staff dietitians, making operational decisions, and nutrition related progamming for 4 of those years. Claire is so excited to bring her extensive history and experience to the out-patient setting, and truly help people Taste Life again. Claire welcomes all genders, and ages.

Claire is member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Oklahoma Eating Disorder Association (OEDA), and the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP). She served on the Board of Directors for Oklahoma Eating Disorder Association for 5 years, and served as secretary, and Vice President. Claire was selected as one of Oklahoma’s 40 Under 40 in 2019 for her contributions to the field of nutrition and eating disorders in the state of Oklahoma. Claire has published several articles, presented nationally on eating disorder related topics, and has written the eating disorder chapter in the Oklahoma Nutrition Care Manual for the Oklahoma Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics the past 2 years. In 2022, Taste Life Nutrition Therapy, LLC was awarded the Community Excellence award for the state of Oklahoma in eating disorder treatment by OEDA.

Claire is certified by the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals as a dietitian with eating disorder expertise and is also an approved supervisor.

Natalie Bessinger

Natalie is a Masters leve Registered and Licensed Dietitian (RD/LD), as well as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating patterns and unhealthy relationships with food as well as experience in cardiovascular health and wellness.

Natalie practices from a non-diet approach and incorporates the principles of Health at Every Size®(HAES) into her practice. She utilizes nutrition therapy and education to assist clients in re-framing their food rules and beliefs and move towards a less restrictive, all inclusive eating style.

Natalie earned her Bachelors of Nutritional Sciences and Master’s Degree of Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics at Oklahoma State University. Natalie worked as a clinical dietitian in the general hospital setting before transitioning into eating disorder care. She then worked at the Laureate Eating Disorder Program and has experience in the acute, residential, and partial levels of care. Natalie’s passion is building a relationship with her clients and helping them heal their body and mind and discover food freedom.

Natalie is member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Oklahoma Eating Disorder Association, and the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.

Natalie has written publications and presented about exercise within the eating disorder population. She was an editor for the eating disorder chapter in the Oklahoma Nutrition Care Manual for the Oklahoma Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2020.

Natalie is certified by the International Association of Eating Disorder Professional as a dietitian with expertise in the field of eating disorders.
